Well after what felt like an endless summer, winter arrived full force (well, not quite for those who jetted off on our Biking the Boot tour…more on that below) and we’re looking beyond winter and full swing into planning our November events.

The Pearl iZUMi Bundy Run and The Highland Fling will be held on the 12-13 November 2016.
We are excited to once again be running both events across this weekend, giving outdoor adventurers the chance to trail run, mountain bike or double up and do both.

Some of you may remember the welcome sight of the Last Chance Saloon on-course during The Highland Fling last year.
In 2016 we welcome the team at 4 Pines as a Major Sponsor for both The Highland Fling and The Pearl iZUMi Bundy Run – and the great news about that is you get the benefit, with all racers being rewarded at the finishing of their event with a refreshing ale. Cheers to that we say!

CIAO ITALIA
Our 3 week 2016 Biking the Boot MTB Tour has concluded, and everyone had an incredible time traversing the trails of Italy. The weather was on our side for the most part, and riders enjoyed scenic views, awesome trails, delicious Italian feasts, the odd drop of local red and a few espressos.
Our 2017 Biking the Boot Tour will run from 13 May – 2 June.
MOUNTAIN BIKE NEPAL WITH HUW KINGSTON & WORLD EXPEDITIONS
While we’re talking tours, we thought this would be a great time to let you know that Huw will be leading a World Expeditions MTB tour into the Mustang region of Nepal from 18 March – 3 April 2017. World Expeditions are one of the world’s leading adventure tour companies (as well as a Major Sponsor of our Highland Fling), so this is a fantastic opportunity to have the adventure of a lifetime. This trip will be the first time that WE have run a MTB tour into the Mustang region of the Nepal Himalaya. You can find out more about the trip here.
JOIN US FOR A SOCIAL RIDE – SUNDAY 24 JULY @ 2PM
On Sunday 24 July at 2pm we’re planning on hosting a social ride at Sydney’s Manly Dam, followed by a brew at 4 Pines Brewing, to celebrate the opening of the 2016 Highland Fling entries. A few other sponsors hope to join the day too.
