Huw Kingston (44)

Australian & British, Event Organiser & Outdoor Journalist

25 years experience ski touring. 9 ski touring journeys in Himalaya and Karakoram, including 35 day traverse from Kashmir to Kulu and solo Biafo-Hispar crossing. City2City project (1997-2004), a series of journeys totalling 25,000 km linking each of the Australian state capitals via the mountains, rivers, oceans and deserts on foot, ski, bike and kayak

Wide ranging ski touring and mountaineering experience in

USA, Europe, New Zealand, South America, Antarctica.  Long ski trips include a traverses of Denali, the Southern Patagonian Ice Cap and the Brooks Range in Alaska. High Altitude Experience includes guiding on Mt Denali, 2 seasons in Andes and a personal trip attempt on Masherbrum.

30 years experience ski touring, mountaineering, bush-walking and sea kayaking. Extensive high altitude experience in the Himalaya, Karakoram, Hindu Kush and Andes Ranges, up to 7705 metres. Several major ski sled-hauling expeditions including the first traverse of South Georgia sub-antarctic island, Baffin Island, Karakoram Ski Traverse and Southern Patagonian Ice-cap.
