Hello,

We’re excited to let you know that entries into the Highland Fling mountain bike and Pearl iZUMi Bundy Run trail events on 12-13 November 2016 are officially open.

You can find out more about our Pearl iZUMi Bundy Run here. And more about our Highland Fling here.

New look website

You’re on the new website, and you’ll notice we’ve had a refresh!

We wanted to take the opportunity to let you know that as part of this refresh we have introduced a new registration system via Event Plus. This means when you register for an event you’ll need to set up an Event Plus account (if you have an Event Plus account already, you can just use this). Thanks for your understanding.

IT’S MORE THAN JUST A FLING…IT’S A TRUE MTB JOURNEY

This is the 12th running of the Highland Fling and it got us thinking about what has made it such an iconic and well-loved event…and we came to the conclusion that the Fling is really more than just a Fling, it’s a true mountain bike experience that takes riders on a journey through lush farmlands, along quiet country lanes, flying through flowing singletrack and diving into gullies, across rocky technical terrain and water crossings.

Across the coming months we’ll share the Highland Fling Journey with you via our website, newsletters and social media. To kick it off here’s the link to how we started this beautiful Fling.

PERSONALISE YOUR FLING JOURNEY

This year when you enter the Highland Fling don’t forget to pick yourself up a commemorative jersey. Our 2016 jersey design will be released closer to the event, but we wanted to let you know that this year you can personalise your Fling jersey for no extra cost (see below).

personalise jersey

Include your name, your nickname or grab your riding mates and include a team name on all your jerseys¬†– just remember while you’re getting creative you have 25 letters to play with and orders must be placed by 30 September 2016.

BE INSPIRED TO ADVENTURE

Many of you would remember that between 2014 – 2015 Wild Horizons’ own Huw Kingston undertook an epic fundraising journey, circumnavigating the Mediterranean by human power – sea kayak, mountain bike, foot and row boat.

During September, in conjunction with World Expeditions and supported by Paddy Pallin, Huw is doing an Australian speaking tour to share his experience and stories.

Grab your tickets here. Prepare to be inspired to adventure.
