Mountains To Beach Update 20 Feb
The 2010 DT Swiss Mountains To Beach is ONE WEEK AWAY!!!!
The hands of time have let go of the brake lever and we are now screaming headlong into the 2010 DT Swiss Mountains To Beach. Clip yourselves in for a wild ride!
In order for everyone involved to have a smooth race, we ask that you read these details carefully and revisit the website to make sure you know all you need to know.
Changes To Accommodation and Transport – CLOSED
All changes to entry, transport and accommodation packages are now closed. Rider personal detail changes can still be made up until 5pm Mon 22 Feb. We will monitor this email over the weekend and should be able to help you through any problems.
Registration
Event Rego for all riders is open from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 28 Feb in the Keller Bar at Thredbo. For those of you who are on All In Packages, details on your accommodation at Thredbo for Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 Feb along with your voucher for dinner on Saturday 27 Feb, will be available at the Keller Bar from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday 27 Feb
Osprey Hydraulics Raptor 6 and Ground Effect Baked Beanie
A few people have asked about collecting the Osprey Hydraulics Raptor 6 and Ground Effect Baked Beanie. These will be available to you at registration in Thredbo on Sunday 28 Feb. The pack and beanie will no doubt be of great use through the race, keeping you warm on the roof of Australia and hydrated during the epic 80+km race legs.

Bus Locations and Boarding Procedure
Here are the instructions for those meeting the bus at either Narooma or Canberra prior to the event. PLEASE NOTE: There is no bus from Narooma to Thredbo AFTER the event this year.
Pre-Race Narooma – Thredbo Bus, Saturday 27 February
If you have booked this option, car parking and bus departure is at Island View Beach Resort, 3km south of Narooma on the Princes Highway. Here you can leave your car for the week and we ask that you arrive at 12.00noon for a 1.00pm departure. Please note that neither Wild Horizons nor Island View Resort take any responsibility for the safety of your vehicle or any contents. Those riders with All In Packages who have also booked this transport package should be accommodated at Island View Beach Resort (numbers and bed configuration permitting) on the night of Friday 5 March at the end of the event.
Your bike does not need to be packed into a box/bike bag (but it can be). It will be packed directly into a truck. Whilst blankets etc will be used to pack between bikes, you must remove your pedals and pack them into your luggage and it is your responsibility to protect your bike (eg using bubble wrap/foam on the bike). Please put a luggage tag on your handlebar with your name and phone number printed clearly.
Your one piece of luggage must be clearly labelled with your name and phone number, and it must be a maximum of 80litres capacity, 20kg weight, with dimensions of no more than 80cm x 35cm x 35cm. Please ensure your luggage tag is still attached. We expect this bus to arrive in Thredbo at approximately 6.00pm.
Pre-Race Canberra – Thredbo Bus, Saturday 27 February
If you have booked this option, you will need to be at Canberra Airport at the designated bus parking behind the taxi rank by 1.00pm for a 2.00pm departure. Long term parking is available at the airport, see http://www.canberraairport.com.au for more information.

3D Race Support Wrenching Service
Scott from 3D Race Support heads the mechanical service team to the DT Swiss Mountains To Beach. These guys will no doubt be kept extremely busy, so it’s better to get your bike to them sooner rather than later if you know you have a problem. They will have a range of spare parts and other merchandise for sale, however we strongly encourage riders to bring plenty of their own spares, e.g. tubes, brake pads, derailleur hanger, chain, etc. as we can’t guarantee availability.
PLEASE make sure your bike is in good condition when you arrive in Thredbo - and make sure those brakes are in full working order for the big descent of Stage 1 - The Hayes Mountain Run at Thredbo.
